EKING M1 MID

This is one more product that made a brief appearance last summer at the Intel Developer Forum IDF and then went into hibernation. Though it appeared as Wibrain M1 MID at the IDF, now it has resurfaced under another brand name as the EKING M1 MID and is getting all prepped up to be released by the Chinese company M1.

This sleek and stylish slider-type model weighs 1.2 pound and measures 7.6 x 3.2 x 1.1 inches. The EKING M1 MID packs a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, Bluetooth, GPS connectivity and WiFi 802.11b/g. It has a 4.8-inch touchscreen display running at 1024 x 600 and has impressive connectivity with mobile WiMAX, HSDPA and also a Digital TV tuner. The EKING M1 MID also sports a 1.3 megapixel webcam and in addition to the touchscreen it also has a touchpad and a handwriting recognition feature. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard, a mouse and comes preloaded with Windows XP.

Though full specifications have not been announced officially, it is speculated to have up to 1GB of RAM and a solid state storage. The pricing and release date are still unknown.
