Gateway plans to launch an 11.6 inch convertible tablet running on the Windows 7 Basic or Home Premium. Dubbed EC18T, the device may offer stiff competition to Gigabyte T1028 and Asus Eee PC T91.
The EC18T is rumored to run on the Intel Core 2 Duo processr with 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM and Intel GS45 Express graphic chipset. The leaked pictures of the device shows a stylus holder built into the screen bevel. Other features include what looks like an HDMI port.
Gateway has not yet announced any official information regarding pricing or availability, but it is expected to reach the market soon after the release of Windows 7.
