For a limited period of time, the Nokia Booklet 3G will be available for $199.99 if you sign up for a 2-year data plan from AT&T. The 10 inch netbook normally goes for $299 with the AT&T contract.
The Nokia Booklet 3G was one of the most anticipated netbooks of the year, but unfortunately it failed to impress many reviewers. The mini-laptop does have some premium features like integrated GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G modem for use on the go, but it runs on the Intel Atom Z530 processor which is slower than the Atom N270/N280 processors found in most netbooks. The integrated GMA 500 graphics, however, feature the 720p HD video acceleration. The netbook also has an HDMI port for transferring video to an external monitor.
A number of 3G-enabled netbooks are now available from wireless carriers like Verizon, Sprint and AT&T. And at $199.99, the Booklet 3G is indeed a good choice price-wise. But before you head to the nearest dealer, bear in mind that $199.99 is only the upfront cost. The data plan will cost you $60 per month over a period of 24 months.
